Allied Esports Entertainment Inc. named Roy Anderson as its new chief financial officer on Monday, citing his experience with mergers and acquisitions.
He succeeds Anthony Hung, who resigned from the role on Sept 1. Mr. Hung had been with the company since September 2019.
Mr. Anderson most recently served as a partner at Mazars USA, a member firm of international accounting firm Mazars Group, where he focused on the technology, media and telecommunications industry.
“Roy brings strong leadership qualities, financial acumen and strategic M&A experience to our executive team,” Chief Executive Officer, President and General Counsel Libing (Claire) Wu said in prepared remarks.
Mr. Anderson’s experience will also help the company with its previously announced plans to explore M&A opportunities, Ms. Wu said.
