Non-Standard Finance PLC on Tuesday reported a significantly narrowed pretax loss for the first half of 2021 on markedly lower costs and exceptional charges, and said its current performance is encouraging.
The U.K. provider of consumer finance posted a normalized pretax loss of 3.5 million pounds ($4.8 million) for the year ended June 30, compared with a normalized loss of GBP9.9 million. The company said the result was better than expected.
Non-Standard Finance’s reported pretax loss came in at GBP7.5 million, compared with a reported loss GBP102.7 million for the same period a year earlier.
Revenue fell to GBP67.8 million from GBP91.3 million a year ago.
